RF Technologies a part of the "Advance Queensland" presentation by Boeing

 

The RF Technologies team was very excited to receive an invitation in July 2017 from Boeing Defence Australia to acknowledge the small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who had contributed to the success of a prototype unmanned aerial system (UAS) situational awareness system, along with a Situational Awareness Sensor Unit (SASU).  

RF Technologies was instrumental in integrating modules provided by Boeing to create a fully functional end-to-end solution.

Boeing partners with SMEs on new RPAS enabling technology

 

Boeing is at the forefront of developing new technology in collaboration with innovative Queensland businesses with support from the Queensland Government’s Advance Queensland Platform Technology Program.

In partnership with Queensland small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), Telstra and the Shell Queensland Gas Company (QGC), Boeing and its subsidiary, Insitu Pacific, have designed, developed and are testing a world-first prototype airspace situational awareness system.

This system is capable of remotely detecting and tracking other airspace users, and providing the resultant air picture over Telstra’s cellular network back to a ground-control station. This enables pilots to safely operate Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) over extended ranges and in full compliance with CASA regulations.we
